If do again, how?

(Update 2014 June - I admit I will be greedy for more power, hence highly possible directly going to 2 liters, no more 4AG, unless purely to retain lighter weight versus 2 liters engine.)
Engine to 20v MAP
Assuming the engine needs to be changed then the following is recommended: -
Japan and South America only
Toyota Corolla Levin / Trueno
AE111 (GT-APEX or other variants)
4 cylinders in-line
20 valves (5 valves per cylinder)
1.6 liters (1587 cc)
twincam (DOHC = Double Over Head Cam)
4 throttles
with VVT (VVT vs. TPS a 1/2 smart system)
running on MAP - vacuum sensor (D-Jetronic)
aka "Blacktop".
Why this engine is recommended?
Answers: -
It's platform is A Block, which sits into all AE86 nicely and 100%, no mounting change required. (Update 2014 June - I didn't found original AE86 mounting, hence engine placement is wrong and angle tilting all wrong, cause lost of power transfer to rear axle, in short all bologs, mind as well swap in other bigger engines) In the case of KE70 then the only extra thing needed is the AE86 engine's cross-member. Or one from the AE70 is also useable. See Upgrading Power Steering
Please remember to transfer everything from the half-cut into the project car. Throw-away all the old wiring looms and use all wiring looms from the half-cut. Modern EFI system is proofing more and more complicated and often their grounding routes makes them highly sensitive towards EFI operations. It is suspected that the current (amperes) passing through the different routes is also part of the EFI's ECU operations.
Now that the engine is decided, we'll move on to see what else are needed.
