Engine by Power Zone

The original engine was 4K, which is a 1.3 liters 8 valves OHC, Carburetor, producing 60bhp Toyota Published Spec. This engine is not good enough and have to be changed.

But, if one is lucky to have a 4A-GE, like AE70, then I do not recommend to change the engine. Instead I recommend the owner to go to Power Zone. 

Let Power Zone perform the complete engine tuning, blue-printing, crank-shaft rotation balance with the flywheel and clutch set, pistons and con-rods weight reduction and balance, engine head port and polish, 3 angle cut valves seats and valves, calculated extractors to match the CAMs, calculated intake port length and all the necessary. Cost RM 3k+

It is assumed that this job will help the engine produce ....... don't know, but surely better than original allot.

A Proton Wira Aeroback 4G15 1.5 Liters SOHC EFI turned into an overnight monster from it's 80bhp to 120bhp just by doing all of the above PLUS CAMs re-profile.

This Proton has beaten ALL AE8x either with 4A-GE TVIS or small port or 20v AFM. This Proton was a snail but after going to Power Zone puts allot of 4A-GE to shame :(

If you some how have a 2T-G, which is a 1.6 Liters 8 valves OHC, Carburetor, then I would recommend to change it instead of going to Power Zone because 8 valves just doesn't sound nice to the ear. Converting from Carburetor to EFI is as much work as a transplant, not to mention much more brain power required, so, change the engine. 

My preference, never mess with too old an engine, respect them for what they are and what they have achieved and just move on with the moderns. They are not for the faint hearted.
