LSD Debris
The suspension set in my KE70 came from this particular AE86 track car. The rear axle with LSD was unique said to be TRD internals. Guess how hard the driver had been whacking the car?
Above is the rear axle oil, look at all those metal powder, aren't they beautiful? It looks so delicious :P~~~ I feel like eating them.
What's worst is: -
The palm and finger is Bill Sherwood himself and he sure knows more than me if it's in good shape or not. I would not have found out those big debris pieces :(
So take care of your LSD before they break. A cost effective way is to add Red Line's LSD Friction-Modifier / Break-In Additive. It worked for me, in a way. Reduce much of the axle noise, but I regret not putting it in earlier.
Still, next time if the rear axle enjoys a rebuilt, I'll probably use Omega's 690 or Motul's 90PA or Red Line's MT90 and I'll even crazily go for 75W/140.
It's hot here in MALAYSIA ambient temperature in a traffic jam in the middle of a highway, packed with cars under the hot sun afternoon goes as high as 40 Celsius.
I'm not taking anymore chances next time.

After much oil change using various brands as well as viscocity and additives. It is found that this red line friction modifier always foams when mixed with
Normally foaming considered not good. Due to lack of further information, this additive is considered in-effective for the moment, because other oils and additive does not foam at all. Please see LSD Debris 2 and LSD Debris 3.
