Basic Study - Page 7 - Tape Mouth

What about taping the mouth and holding the air space constant. Again, just for study investigation purposes.

  1. Yellow is original
  2. Red is taped mouth

There is significant lost of sensitivity especially in the mid and high frequencies region.

The nice thing about this study is that it shows the compression driver's resonance, namely 2kHz, 4.5kHz, 8.5kHz and around 12kHz. These few frequencies will be watched out for.
