Fuel Pressure Gauge
4th September 2003
Finally the Fuel Pressure Gauge is installed. It is bought from: -
Hong Fatt Lock & Key Sdn Bhd (Hardware shop)
Box 85, Lot 1.68, Ground Floor, Wisma Central,
Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia
Tel : +603-21619102
Fax : +603-21614578
at Ringgit Malaysia (RM) 26 only :)
Notice the L shape joint :) makes installation a little easier :) Nah, just me cheating away with quick solutions. Notice also the link joint :( cause the gauge and L joint are both male. So have to get a female to female link :)
Initial reading :O 40+ psi during idling with vacuum. Should be 28 psi according to 4AG-E 20Valve Engine Repair Manual
Revving the car get over 50 psi :O wow wow, my O my. No wonder the Air Fuel Ratio curve was bad during Dyno :( see Dyno Day
So, down it is set to 28 psi. Guess what? The car cannot start anymore :( seems like not enough fuel hey? But this can't be, the manual is followed and the manual is NEVER WRONG.
Oh shxt, start to panic :(

but no use, still wouldn't start :(
SHXT, start big panic :(
Then suddenly it is remembered the manual says increase rpm by turning the 4 throttle's by-pass valve 1/2 round anti_clockwise. So it did. Guess what? The car breath longer for 1/2 a second and dies :(
That's good news, so do it again, all increase 1/2 round :) and this time the car manage to stay idling 1 second :)
OK, do it again :) and this time, start, 1000 rpm, 900 rpm, 800, 700, 600 stay at 600 rpm for 2 seconds, then increase to 700 rpm, 800 rpm and finally stable at 800+ rpm.
My god, I did it :)
That's all for now, Part 2 coming up next. (Mi tei ku ra saiiiiiii :))
