Part 2 - VI Software
"Alt+F1" shows "PARAMETERS" control: -
Notice the word "PARA" on the middle left of the picture light up? again the cursor is there for adjustment and is suppose to be blinking.
This is the most nicest part of the software.
Explaining from Left to Right: -
C = Cooling Fan Switch (when to turn on / off)
V = VTEC engage also for VVT or MIVEC
S = Shift Light (if you connect to a buzzer together, then you'll have shift light and buzzer) :)
A = Antilag (For turbo to set below which RPM to maintain boost)
T = Antilag (For turbo to set at which TPS to release full boost - basically when to disengage Antilag)
B = Boost 1 = Boost limiter 1 (set to low boost - when borrowing friends to drive :) )
B = Boost 2 = Boost limiter 2 (set to norminal boost - when self driving :) )
both controlled by a flick of a switch hidden :)
R = Rev limiter 1 (soft cut, again set to lower RPM - when borrowing to friends :) )
R = Rev limiter 2 (soft cut, set to nominal - when self use)
both controlled by a flick of a switch hidden :) The same switch as the Boost limiter above.
N = Fuel saver - when car is slowing down due to throttle fully close, reduce fuel accordingly reference to RPM. Once drop back to 1,400 rpm no effect, back to normal.
F = fuel save Percentage - set percentage duty cycle versus original fuel map
* = Servor - air-cond idle up (unique to Mitsubishi 4G61 or others at the moment)
D = idle up Delay time - so that engine won't stall when disengage air-cond compressor pull
As you can see, this ECU is actually very complete and is fully programmable. For purchase details please contact Mr.S.K.Leow 017-5730716.
An air-fuel-ratio meter with an exhaust O2 sensor is mandatory for self tuning. Best get it to a Chassis Dyno for 100% optimum results.
A Chassis Dyno service may be rented per hour, please contact: -

Last checked - the charges are Ringgit Malaysia (RM) 300 for the 1st hour and Ringgit Malaysia (RM) 100 every subsequent hour.
Pretty handy if you ask me. All you have to do is prepare around 10 to 20 maps at home, once reach the dyno machine, fire away all 20 maps and record every changes in performance, fuel combustion efficiency, etc.
Make some scientific educated guesses for best variations between fuel maps and settings then make the necessary changes and run the dyno again.
If all goes well, 1 hour will be JUST enough for an experience tuner to get everything set correctly.
Normally finished in 2 hours and never more than 3 hours.
DMT Racing Development Sdn Bhd can also be engaged for a complete tuning all for RM600.
