Extending Wiring Looms

Project 1 failed 29th November 2001 - May 2002

Project 2 began on 9th September 2002

Now is 21st October 2002

Now my turn to do some work. The extensions of EFI wiring loom's sockets are done by myself alone. All wires are cut one at a time and completely joint back before proceeding to another wire. Every cut is joint back using solder and heat shrink wrap. All extension wires are also MATCHED according to color, thread color, single dot or two dot. OK OK on average 9 out of 10 is matched. In fact they are match to 19 out of 22.

The extensions are required because the placement of the engine in FR mode is completely different to FF mode. Since the wiring loom was from FF, it makes their length insufficient long.

The following's were extended: -

1. AFM (7 wires)

2. O2 sensor (4 wires)

3. distributor (3 wires)

4. Ignition coil (2 wires)

5. air-cond thingy (3 wires)

6. speedo (3 wires)
