Rear Track Increase

14th April 2014

Part 4 (after 10 years)

I finally added 27mm track to the rear axle to match the RCA track increase of around 30mm. The steering turn-in pointy-ness reduced to nearly neutral, much less of the sudden oversteer, much more neutral.

Whatever un-neutral oversteer could be felt as engine placement wrong. Too much forward. Too much weight in front overboard. Because distributor + water outlet is blocking the engine from getting 4 (FOUR) inches into the bay, closer to the firewall. Thanks to many more years of experience, especially after driving the new 86 for a whole week.
