Engine Tuning

Part 3 - after driving the car for a few weeks - the ECU settles itself out ???

12th June 2003

Disclaimer : - for stock EFI system, actually there is no such thing as "tuning".

Please remember to read Part 1 before proceeding.

Well, many weeks have passed. The higher than normal idling just couldn't be fix, so it was ignored due to lack to strength to fight the unknown.

Then out of a sudden, a week ago, the distributor timing was messed with and the AFM's  Flap tension and the AFM's by-pass valve in hope to get more power, but pinging like mad, so everything was reverted.

Guess what? the idling stabilized itself, back to perfect like in Part 1. This is ........mystifying........

By the way, the picture above is not the "Stop Screw" as stated in 4AG-E 20Valve Engine Repair Manual page FI-45. It was a mistake where it was misread and misunderstood in 4AG-E 20Valve Engine Repair Manual. As of today, the rear "Stop Screw" has not been found. Anyone know, please let me know It will be much appreciated.

Also, incase someone misunderstood this, there is not suppose to be any GAP. Unlike other throttle butterflies, which most need a 0.03 mm gap stated in 4AG-E 20Valve Engine Repair Manual page FI 45 to 55.

By the way, if any automotive engineer is seeing this, especially from TOYOTA's 20v department. Please email me and give me some tips :) I desperately need them :) I'll do anything for it :) hahahahahahahhaaha
