Compare Sum
The purple is summed of the mid and tweeter without their original passive filter. While the green is summed with their original passive filter.
All in all they are trying to levitate the level difference between the mid and the tweeter, trying to bring it closer to flat frequency response. Of course not telling anyone.
The tweeter's level is higher than the mid, this will off-set the sound stage or imaging not to be felt too low or drop to the floor.
However the consequences is a fearsome tweeter feel, not exactly harsh, but too outstanding.
Either of these speakers are not recommend for purchase because lower cost and better quality speakers has been found. Those are far more easy to setup and optimise.
