Loudspeaker

But no speaker is perfect

  1. It cannot reproduce all the sounds we need. (Cannot produce 20Hz to 20,000Hz)
  2. It cannot reproduce all the sounds with the same loudness. (No flat frequency response)
  3. It cannot radiate the same sound into all directions. (It is frequency/angle dependent)
  4. All above properties are governed by the law of physics. (Acoustics)

  6. 3D movement of 13.8Hz

  7. 2D movement 13.7Hz

  8. But no speaker is perfect

  9. Because of Cone Break-up

  10. Radiation is frequency dependent

  11. Radiation Field

  12. Therefore no speaker has flat frequency response

  13. Why do we need flat frequency response?
