How do sound disperse?
The ideal perfect sound source disperse
sound outwards equally over 360º horizontally and vertically (4πSpace)
like an enlarging ball.
However real object that creates sound is not round, therefore the sound quality dispersion into all direction is dependent upon the object’s shape and frequency.

All
kinds of dispersion strength is possible, because there are unlimited number of
shapes.
The real sound shape is always round and perfectly spherical. It is the strength that varies in / on the enlarging ball at different directions.
Sound travel outwards, where the distance traveled is governed by time traveled, therefore the sound source is always a perfect sphere.
Unless there is a situation where one side of the "whatever" has speed of sound in air much slower than the other side, else the outward sound shape is a sphere and nothing else.
Very high frequency may be subject to blockage and resort to diffraction traveling technique which nearly always has longer traveling path, therefore may be some what distorted in outward shape.
Still highly dependent upon actual physical shape, size and size/dimension of blockage.
