Front Strut Tower Top Bar's Report

Settings - right and left is direction viewed from inside the car towards outside. i.e. this is a right hand drive car, right strut tower top in the one in front of the driver.

9th May 2004 Sunday

Previously the left side is jacked up in hoped that when turning the strut bar to pull the tower top closer to each other that the left side may be pulled more than the left.

A picture to demonstrate: -

The results of this method is finally ascertain by the alignment machine on 2nd May 2004 Sunday.

Originally both camber is -1.0

Now the right is -1.9x while the left is -2.2x

Wow, it actually worked. I was hoping for more, but some how realize it may not be possible and that it is a naive dream. Still the prediction is accurate. The left did get pulled in more than the right.

I wonder did I over do it???

Another Story

The tires are worn badly, beyond the safety mark. It is finally ........ thrown..... too dangerous to be given to friends for drifting, where still being used on roads for daily commuting to work and all. Sorry guys. It's just too thin. Two of the tires already show fabric exposed.

Due to "stinginess" more than anything else, to be honest :) hehehhe new tires are not used.

Four pieces of old 195/60R15 - date expired, rubbers harden are used. They were kept under exposure to sun light for 8 months, while kept in a sun-light proof storeroom for another 8 months.

They came with the 15" rims when I bought it used. The threads were thick, hence I did not feel like throwing them away. They were not used immediately because the suspension had not been upgraded and that the car sink significantly upon small weight load.

It was my first time using 15, and that the car previously saw action in a accident after rain, hence new tires are on.

Now that I have one year plus experience with this car, so testing out this old worn tires. So far so good. However due to their age, they seem to wear out much faster than normal...... regardless, new tires going in after this..... wonder what should I put....???
