2006 Chinese New Year Holiday

Diary from 21st January - 13th February 2006

Morning took taxi and carry luggage to office. Office colleagues were shock and says luggage too big. During lunch bought more presents back home and took out a trolley bag from inside the big luggage to store the new things and gave the office colleagues an even bigger shock. 5:45pm finish work and leave to get a taxi, but all refuse hence took Shen Zhen Metro From Guo Mao 国贸 to Ke Xue Guan 科学馆. At Metro exit is Hua Lian 华联 Bus Station. Bus fare was RMB20 direct to Shen Zhen Bao An International Airport every 15 minutes. My bus starts around 6pm+ and reach 7pm+ with some traffic jams in the city. Flight was 10pm hence lots of time to spare. The check in counter for international flight was located in a secluded corridor and was not very clear nor user friendly. Still..... 10pm flight take off. Reach Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2am. A old friend (Jwo Shong) came by to pick me up around 2:30am. Went for late night supper, dim sum was the menu and finally reached home 4:30am. Send a sms before going to sleep. Content was "Call me if you are going to Street ShootOut event. I want to tag along".

So, 8:15am Yoga called and say pick me up at 8:45am. So sleep a little more and then shower. Went to dim sum again for breakfast and meet Alvin with gf, Allan & Chang. Finish breakfast and head to Bukit Jalil Stadium's Car Park to watch Street ShootOut and Drift from 10:30am till 3:30pm. So dam hot..... lack of sleep, getting feverish and sick :( - give up watching drift in the night, go home sleep. Gf coming from Ipoh anyway, reaching around 6pm and got to pick her up from Pudu Bus Station. Speak of getting some rest ???? not a chance. Had dinner with gf and forgot what happen next. Got to ask her later.

So that was Saturday, lack of sleep and falling sick, just back from SZ and having fun none stop :)

Sunday woke up late. Went to brunch with family in Puchong, after tractors and just before toll. Had wonderful Yong Tau Fu :) After which visit the new house under construction, nearly finished. New House at Taman Meranti Jaya after a round a satisfying far field inspection, we went to IOI MALL for light shopping for my wedding rings, sun glasses, exchange RMB to RM, etc etc etc. But cannot find all the above and bought a massage slipper instead. Ouch it's dam pain to wear.... I must be sick all over :) Next to 1 Utama Shooping Complex and continue looking for wedding rings, and found a suitable pair from tomei. Had dinner and look for bride's wedding dinner dress and my nephew was making noise to go home, as we've been since 12pm till 8pm+. Finally went home nearly 10pm just with the rings and nothing else. Booked lunch appointment with Jwo Shong.

Monday morning woke up late, discuss wedding plan again.  Took the gf to commissioner of oath to sign the wedding certificate documents. Cancel lunch with Jwo Shong. Send gf for facial atria. Change new tyres for sister's AE82. Rebooked dinner appointment with Jwo Shong & wife then go Giant at Kelana Jaya, bought new DVD player to replace old dead unit for nephew.

Tuesday morning drove gf to Ipoh, her home town with the company of Jwo Shong, who was going for work purposes. I visit the future parents and have lunch with them. Later meet with Mr Leow, ECU maker of Malaysia. Had dinner with future parents again and meet with Mr Leow again from 8:30 to 10:30 then drove home and reach around 12:30

Wednesday rested a bit ... but was busy .....but forgot about what ???

Thursday was busy also forgot about what ???

Friday afternoon to evening modify lower arm bar from welded fixed add-on to adjustable length from a Camry rear suspension part. Took opportunity to weld floor-board too. Night TTT with Toyota enthusiasts from 0200.

Saturday (Chinese New Year Eve) - last minute house cleaning :)

Sunday (Chinese New Year) managed to sleep late. It's "THE" official holiday, what can you say??? skipped breakfast but had brunch with family. Visit relatives in the afternoon. Send mom to temple for prayer. Rearrange wedding plan from Wednesday at Ipoh only to Wednesday at KL then must rush back to Ipoh for night dinner. After this, went to see Bill Sherwood for Dinner at Carrefour, Subang. Was it this day??? or the next ??? I forgot.

Monday visit relatives

Tuesday slept late :) future parents come from Ipoh and reach in the afternoon. Took them home to have a short rest. Chit chat with my family. Then send them to hotel at Boulevard Hotel in Mid-Valley. Next to Cititel Hotel. Had dinner at Spring Valley, meals were served late, food didn't taste good. Major regret. Last minute shopping for wedding dress, make-up materials, hair styling materials. Last minute got lucky and found make-up artist and hair stylist. Booked them for next morning 8am and meet at the hotel. Last minute bought digital camera Nikon Coolpix P2.

Wednesday 7am my sister went to help at the bride's side. Could not get flower, hence went to Petaling Street. We wait at home for the "Go pick up the bride" signal. 10am we go to hotel to pick up bride back home for wedding prayer and tea ceremony. Then we had lunch at Sam Yao Newtown. Much better meal than previous night. We take off to Ipoh and reach around 5pm. Rested. Had dinner at Menglembu and finished around 8pm. 9pm I went out to mamak / TTT with Mr Leow @ ecupro, Chang @ Banzai, Mr SEE Wen Yea @ klgauto, until 3:30am. 4am sleep.

Thursday morning breakfast 9am with family and bride's side relative. Around 11am to 2:30pm, visit with Zero 4 Racing Enterprise Chang @ Banzai. Then go home, shower, change to proper attire. Go to Buddhist society office to go through official wedding registration. After complete had tea-time at Oldtown Kopitiam. A high-end but traditional menu with new modern mix. Must go eat there. Go home and rest. Dinner with family but food came late and I had appointment with others. Had to leave around 10pm for mamak or TTT with Mr Leow, Ah Pong, Chang, Stanley, Brian, etc. end at 1:30am. Go home sleep at 2am

Friday drive from Ipoh to KL, pick up friend from Kluang, Johor at Jalan Loke Yew, go to TiTAN install racing suspension, meet Waja Turbo Mr Chong, & Avanza owner - had great fun of exchanging stories of all kinds,

Saturday late morning visit spare parts shop, buy LSD additive, C6 oil filter, go TiTAN check out progress of TE71 but not good, there was a perdana, myvi & mercedes benz. Look for workshop to install racing clutch, change engine oil, gear oil, axle oil. Go to lunch at Segambut Seafood Noodle. Come back collect my car, but racing clutch, muffler & oils not yet change. I had to leave immediately, then the boss quickly do for me Kian Leong Racing Clutch, Loud Muffler & Engine oil, gear oil, LSD axle oil.  Go back TiTAN but find not much progress. Go home, have dinner at Dataran prima with old school mate, Jwo Shong & wife, King Lian & wife, Chian Huei, visit King Lian's rented apartment, go mamak daros TT with drift kaki e39a @ Derrick, yolk @ Yoga, Joeker @ Joseph & others. Go home put down Wen Yea to rest. Go back out to Shah Alam to borrow Freedom. Go home sleep 2am.

Sunday morning wake up early go to TiTAN check out progress. It is slow, not much chance able to make it by 1pm to go to Sepang Open Track day. While waiting for Wen Yea's TE71 to install TiTAN, we remove the standard ECU and install Freedom. But overall not succesful. Give up, Pull Chassis instead. 2pm TE71 nearly complete installing TiTAN but sudden off-set touch absorber obsticle. Sure cannot complete in time. Give up also, yolk @ Yoga head to Sepang by ourselves. 2 KE70 race to Sepang track day SIC 5th Feb 2006. Start from Pandan Mewah 2pm, reach Sepang 3pm. After finish have dinner at Kim Heang Bak Kut Teh, go Richard's house collect TE71, TT from 8 to 9, amcorp mall car park brief test from 9 to 10, Wen Yea go home and reach safely 00:40.

Monday sleep till 11:30 I think ??? go workshop repair speedo sensor, swap loud muffler to quiet muffler. Help mechanic send customers home, Saw Patrick anzacs02 and chit chat car :), talk about married life & future costs.... haihhhhh. Chit chat then show Sepang track day video

Tuesday Wife come back from Ipoh, have facial at atria, go visit mechanic, repair clutch pedal firewall, go home, have Satays for dinner with Bill Sherwood, have to baby sit nephew as the same time, Yoga came & had to force Gary to change his appointment with me to with the gang. Then go my house watch Sepang track day video. Then Kenny of club4ag Malaysia suddenly appear to see Bill. Then Rahmat with Freedom called and wanted to see Sepang video & Bill Sherwood.

Wednesday go EPF, Income Tax, buy BT ECU & wiring, sell back wiring, go home eat dinner, mamak with Gary at Ming Tien, while wife mamak with her old landlord, see their new baby and another ex-house mate.

Thursday wife medical check up at country heights medical tourism at mines resort, saw helicopter land near-by. After medical check-up went to collect SZ air ticket from a travel agency near Klang bus stand, meet Bill Sherwood at his hotel late afternoon for chit chat & had late lunch, TTT with Willy @ hbh @ henkel, Stanley, Ah Pong, Wong Levin818, Rahmat, Denise MRS & wife Evelyn.

Friday went to HSBC state newtown to collect security device, sell engine mounting at the same time. Lunch with Chee Yong at Jalan Cheras. Then buy dead ECU at Jalan Tun Razak to cut out socket, make adaptor. TTT with Toyota kaki. Go home at 12am and install BT ECU, swap out OEM ECU and test OK, remove plenum and test OK, force ECU into dashboard & cover nicely, start again failed, error code says 14 & 21 = IGF or ECU & O2 sensor, take out adaptor wiring, but cannot see anything, too late at night, reinstall Silvertop ECU and plenum, 2:15am, shower sleep, 2:30am

Saturday morning woke up 9:30am shower & collect FD brakes modification parts to be brought to Kluang, Johor. Go to TiTAN 11am collected worn tyres I accidentally left behind, wait to Richard to discuss zth, while waiting, meet Allan Francis ex-colleague & MR2 SW20 owner & more car chit chat, while chit chat borrow digital multimeter to chong, waja turbo to check effectiveness of grounding, while waiting also check out BT adaptor wiring and found one wire loose hence last night's attempt failed. Solder on the spot to repair and install and it works fine. Remove plenum and still works fine. Lunch with Richard and gang. Afternoon kluang, visit klgauto's shop, meet chassis puller boss to discuss requirements and costs, night back KL in klgauto's KE70 unmodified, so slow, so wabbly, no brakes, steering have around 10 degrees free play, when brake car will swirl left & right, TTT autoworld, meet wife's friends

Sunday stay at home rest & pack

Monday fly back from KL to SZ. 5am wake up, 5:30am taxi come and go to air-port. Reached around 6:30am, check-in, pass immigration, take transit train to dedicated gate 7am. Wait till 8am, board plane, take off, breakfast, very fast, 50% full. Sleep. Touch down SZ 11:40am, disembark, pass immigration, collect luggage, get to Bus 330 12:30pm. RMB20 bus fair to Hua Lian bus stop. 1:15pm. Take taxi to apartment at Luo Hu 1:30pm. Get home, unpack, get On-line, download anime and videos, organize photos & videos. Wife clean up house. 6pm go out buy groceries.  7pm cook dinner eat. 8:30pm sleep. Sooooooo tiredddddddddddddd
